I'm like everybody else. I hope season 9 comes out this year they don't need to wait till next year since season 8 took a little longer. And bought time season 18 comes out it will probably be the year 2014. I love season 8 with Maggies hair falling out in a episode.

I already know what season 9 is going to shape like with Lisa's head and season 10 will have Bart's head shape.

For all you hardcore simpsons fans, y'all will really want to keep this in mind, The Simpsons movie will come out July 27, 2007 on the big screen.

5 out of 5 stars Correction of 6/14/06 Review for Seasons 16, 17 and 18   June 15, 2006

There has been a miscalcualation with Seasons 16-18 of the show. I know we would love to see four-five sets come out in one year, but that would not happen. Every season release time period opinion except 16, 17 and 18 are right. Here is a new list;

Season 16: Summer 2010 (June-August)
Season 17: December 2010
Season 18 (not aired yet, but will air this fall)- Summer 2011 (June-August)

Sorry for the error. Enjoy this boxed set when you buy it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Season!!!!!!!!!! Will They Have Season 9 Out For Christmas   June 14, 2006
  5 out of 10 found this review helpful

As many of you all know, this season is due out on August 15. It would continue the standard box and Maggie head collectible. 25 fantastic shows to enjoy from the late 1990s. It includes episodes like: Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase, the one where Lisa notices Marge's hair is falling out, and a show found on Bart Wars DVD- The Secret War of Lisa Simpson, the close out episode for this season of the show.

One question still is hanging to ask most people;

Will Season 9 come out for Christmas?

I think it probably will since they have had a 2 year stretch of releasing seasons for the most important holiday of the year. If we do see Season 9 out by Christmas then it is most likely to be the Lisa Head or the Bart Head- which probably will be the Season 10 head. They have released Season 5 for Christmas in 2004 and Season 7 for in 2005. Here is a list of the seasons that I think the way they should come out.

Season 9- December 2006
Season 10- Summer 2007 (August-September)
Season 11- December 2007
Season 12- Summer 2008 (August-September)
Season 13- December 2008
Season 14- Summer 2009 (August-September)
Season 15- December 2009
Season 16- Summer 2009 (August-September)
Season 17- December 2009
Season 18 (not yet started, but will air this fall)- Summer 2010 (August-September)

Season 9 deserves to come out this year for Christmas for fans who have put Seasons 5 and 7 on their Christmas list for 2 holiday seasons already. If this show is 18-20 seasons long, then the show should be finished with DVDs by sometime late 2011 or early 2012.

We are totaling episodes for 2006. This comes out then there would be 25 episodes from Season 8 and 25 episodes from Season 9. That would give you a grand total of 50 episodes released in 2006.

Here is a total list of episodes #s so far;

Season 1- 13 episodes
Season 2- 22 episodes
Season 3- 24 episodes
Season 4- 22 episodes
Season 5- 22 episodes
Season 6- 25 episodes
Season 7- 25 episodes
----------------------
Total S 1-7: 153 episodes

If you add season 8 to that, you would get;

178 episodes

If you add Season 9 to that, you would get;

203 episodes

So if they get Seasons 8 and 9 out by the end of the year, we would own 203 episodes of DVD Simpsons episodes.

I will be buying the Maggie Head Collectible Pack. I would consider the Maggie Head Pack, but you all can take the Season 8 standard box. I would recommend for people who do not like the head pack to get the standard box. People who love the head design, get the head pack.

Enjoy season 8 and buy one of the two varities when it is released this August.
